Here's a basic list of the supplies you'll need to start metal stamping:
Most of these metal stamping supplies can be found on my Etsy site
Metal Letter or Design Stamps -
Metal Block - This create a clear sharp punch. Place this under your metal blank.
Hammer - any 4 - 8 oz hammer, use the flat side when hammering the letters. One sharp hit is better than a few short hits. Your punch can move on additional hits creating shadows:
Sharpie Marker - this creates contrast in the recessed areas of your letters. When you finish adding the sharpie and clean up any stray marks, bake your piece at 260 degrees for 1 hour. This will set the marker so that it's permanent:
Alcohol Wipes - to clean up any excess marker
Polish Cloth - to shine things up when you finish:
Wrap 'n Tap - if you're curving ring blanks
Bracelet Bender - if you're curving Bracelet Blanks
Practice Metal - Practice before you begin on your final piece
Hole Punch for Metal - There are a few different styles depending on the size hole you intend to punch.
